So, my shop opens Saturday and I have a cake that is due Saturday as well. I am so sleep deprived that while mixing my cake, I forgot to put in 1/2 of the 1 1/2 cups of milk. the cake LOOKS fine. It FEELS fine, but is it salvageable?

I should think so, missing some milk wont really change the flavor, just maybe the texture?

I forgot to add half of the milk once. . It cut and tasted the same, but was definately a darker shade than the other layers!
Thank goodness it was for family. icon_lol.gif

If you have that hump on your cake that is trimmed off, go ahead and do it then taste what you've trimmed. That way you will know for sure about the texture and flavor.
