My mon sent me an email with this link. They had a chocolate convention in Salt Lake city and this link talks about it and shows different center peices and discusses what was taught in the classes. I thought some of you might be interested.

Thanks for the link! I'd love to go to that sometime- they are true artists!

What part of Utah are you from? We have a place in Big Cottonwood Canyon & spend a lot of time there. Love it! We plan to make a permanent move from Ohio to Utah in another couple of years.

Love to ski! So much so- we bought a condo right at Solitude!
DH is a nature/wildlife photographer, so we spend a lot of time in the Nat. parks throughout central & southern Utah and it's close enough to visit Yellowstone and Glacier a few times a year. There's so much to do out there. And Utah is the friendliest , cleanest place I've seen.

It's sad my family has a time share in Park City and I have never actually been skiing. I go up every winter but I have never tried the slopes. It is beautiful! I love the mountains! Photography is my second love, cake decorating being first of course! icon_biggrin.gif

I learned to ski as an adult. Not real good at it- but I have lots of fun! A good day is only falling a few times! I'm too chicken to try snowboarding, but I've heard it's easier to get the hang of than skiing.
Yah, the mountains are great- all year round!
Park City is the coolest place! Except during Sundance!

Yes! The mountains are great! I used to live in Stowe, VT and have been snowboarding for about 15 years. I really don't know why people say snowboarding is easier to learn. I've learned how to do both, ski and snowboard, and I thought snowboarding was WAAAAAY harder than skiing to learn. At least with skiing you can snowplow, but with snowboarding you can't and you fall a LOT at first. And boy does it hurt when you catch an edge, LOL. It's really fun once you get the hang of it though! icon_biggrin.gif

I went to that chocolate show. I wasn't able to take the chocolate sculpture class they offered, not enough money. But I did taste some very fine chocolates there. Yum-O!

I'm jealous!!! I didn't find out about it until that day! I'm in Logan with three kids and my husband gone with the army! I couldn't get a babysitter fast enough! Oh well. Next time.

This was the first year I went but from what I heard they do it about the same time each year. Get everyone in the mood for holiday treats. At least next year, being in Provo and all, you won't have that far to travel to get there.

Do you shop at Kitchen Kneads? I went there about two months and I love it. I bought my cake dummies from there.

I know there is a bakery store in Orem, Shepherd's Cake and Candy Supply. I haven't been there so I don't know what they sell. Thankfully, I'm centrally located(Bountiful) and find it just as easy to go to Logan as it is Orem. In Salt Lake, there is Baker's Cash and Carry, where I purchased some pettinice I'm waiting to try out.

Let me know what you think of the pettinice. I've been wanting to try it out but I haven't bought any yet. I love Bountiful, my sister use to live there.
