I have ordered Satin Ice from The Baker's Kitchen with no problems. I will be placing an order from Pfeil & Holing soon for more. Many people have recommended them. The only thing is that there is a minimum $50 order.

It's pre-made fondant. It's quicker to roll it out and place it on your cake. It tastes like vanilla. I got mine's from P & H for $16.50 / 5 lbs.

It hasn't been released yet in the UK but there was a preview stand of it at the Birmingham NEC. I have to be honest, I thought it tasted nasty - artificial and left a greasy feeling in my mouth. Maybe it's different to what is available in the USA?

Emmascakes
I think if ur used to the USA fondant anything will taste better icon_biggrin.gif

A friend brought me a small packet of fondant when she was over there and I must say I can understand why no one wants to eat it. Its a lot worse than the sugarpaste u find in the UK, SA and AUS.

i use pettinice fondant, the chocolate tastes pretty decent, and i can roll to 1/8", so it's not overpowering. i get mine from jester's party supply, he has great shipping rates, and gets it out quickly. i also use pettinice white and ivory. hope this helps.
