I think I remember that in the Terms of Use we all agreed to, when we submit our photos or recipes, they become the property of CC, am I mistaken?

What do you mean CCs property. I dont think they own it or anything but it just is a helpfull protection of Copyright. But I could be mistaken

I think this could be clarified by asking Heath.

Here are the Cakecentral terms:

"By uploading any photo to CakeCentral.com, you are granting CakeCentral.com (Cake Central, LLC) the right to publish or alter the photo on our public website, as well as any other areas of our content that we see fit. Including, but not limited to, the photo gallery, the Forums, Recipes, Articles and Newsletters. "

Hope that helps icon_smile.gif

You still have the right to use your photo in any other way you see fit. What the terms mean is that once it is published on CC, it becomes part of the CC experience. This clause is to cover us so that if someone leaves the community we are not obligated to remove their posts and photos as that would affect all the rest of our community.

If we wanted to use your photo in an article or in an advertisement for CC, we would always ask permission first, we do not want to take advantage of anyone in the CC Family.
