I need a LARGE batch of fondant.....
I've never made it before, so don't know where to start. I'm sure there are some great recipes for it on CC, any recommendations.
On a just in case note, where can I order a large batch of purple fondant from?
Thanks!
Stacey

I made it - hated it - hated the clean up - I buy mine and will never go back to making it - way to much time spent on just that.

You can buy large quantities of Satin Ice from them directly or you can buy it at the following places online....intotheoven.com, globalsugarart.com, cakebysam.com.
I usually buy my fondant but because of money, Ive been making mine lately. I do it right in my KA and there really is hardly any mess. Ive tried several, and I mean several recipes and I hated making it because it never was consistant. The only recipe that I found that worked every time far (knock on wood!) is Michele Fosters recipe. It tastes really good and like I said, I do it in the mixer.

I love Toba's fondant (in the recipe section) it's super fast to make, no mess and really cheap also it's a dream to work with. I made it by hand (dont have a KA ) and it was super easy.

I agree if you can't get satin ice or fondx I would make Toba's It's easy and tastes good. Best to use the glycerin if you use her recipe.

I think for this one I'm going to order it, but I'll try the two recipes too.
