I'd be very grateful if anyone could share tips on the brushed embroidery technique - I'd like to do it on faux fondant for my parent's wedding anniversary. Thanks in advance!

I have never done this before, want to, just have not had time.

I found this on Wilton website:
See if this is any help.

The brush embroidery technique is very easy to do. The link gma posted should explain exactly how to do the technique. Just make sure that you do not let the frosting dry or you will not be able to do the brush embroidery. Also, do not get your brush too wet or it will make the inside of the embroidery too thin or "watery". Let me know if you need any more help with it. Others probably have more tips for you. Good luck.

Thank you all - I appreciate your help so much! I'd love it turn out half as good as the cake in the 'Traditional Wedding Cake Gallery - #93 entitled 'painted embroidery by Godiva'.

Question - The Wilton direction says to use thin consistency butter cream ... Cake Decorator Godiva, #93 states that she didn't make fresh Royal Icing .... I gather you could use either? Or even some of the faux fondant I'm planning to use for the icing?

I'm open to all tips! Decorating is so much fun!
