Im making a cake for the 16th December and it needs a few of the bits made in advance, can anyone tell me how long Mexican paste lasts for, I need to make fence posts to stick around the cake, if I make these now will they still be ok to eat in 3 weeks time? Not sure if Mexican paste is called something else in America but its basically icing sugar, gum tex and water, hopefully you know what I mean.
