I have a large Wilton bag - I think 16" or 18" and I just cut off the end and put the icer tip in with no coupler - works great for me.

I usually use the large, disposable plastic ones. Easy to cut and toss. I haven't use the huge tips you're talking about, but if they would fit in a plastic bag, I'd use that.

If you cut a reusable bag, you can only use it for those large tips.

At least for the icer tip, you'd need a big bag. I think a 22inch bag would be great but definitley 18 inches at least. Just remember that, like Monica said, if you cut a a reusable bag for the icer tip, you can only use it for the icer tip.

I use my cake icer tip with the 16" bag. Or if I have to I'll use the disposable bags.

I use 18" disposable plastic bags. I can't stand washing the others.

I bought an 18" wilton one especially for my icer tip . . . LOVE it, but it's a pain in the butt to wash. I don't do very big cakes (yet icon_smile.gif) so the 18" seems to work for me.

I use a disposable bag with my big icer tip, and it makes it difficult to ice a 9" cake with one bag of icing. It won't hold enough to fully ice a 6" either, which a bigger bag will. Eventually, I'll cut my reusable bag. Just haven't got around to it yet.

I have a 21" bag that I use with the icer tip. This is the only non-disposable bag I have, I dont' like cleaning it, but it is broken in and gives me the perfect grip to ice a cake.
