All I kept thinking was WOW...
Can you imagine how neat it would be if fellow CC members were able to send her a Christmas card with a little note in it? Can't you just picture her getting all this mail from complete strangers just to wish her a Merry Christmas and well wishes!!!
Luvincake....I for one, would love to send her a Christmas card! Can I send it to you and then you get it to her?? Anyone else on board??

I would have absolutely no problem doing this. I am sure that she would love it. She is just the sweetest lady I have ever met. She insisted on trying to give my daughter a birthday present. We tried not to take it, but she told me that it would hurt her feelings if she didn't take it. Since my daughter loves Tinkerbell she bought her a Tinkerbell purse and wallet, and inside the wallet she put $100 
. She told us she had nothing better to do with her money. Do you want me to pm you with my address? Thanks you all.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Now that is just about the best thing I've heard in a very long time. What an inspiration! I think there really are angels on earth and you each found yours.
I bet that lady is beyond thrilled that she found you and how nice you've been to her. There are some really awesome people in this world. It just breaks my heart knowing some of them sit alone and are so lonely like she has been. This is very heartwarming.

Holiday is a reason for sharing and caring. For my tradition, whenever there's a good new, I write it down in my journal of positive things that ever happened to me. I can pass my journal along to my child and then my future grandchildren. God has blessed you and you are indeed an angel.
This story just keeps getting better and better. I just read it all for the first time tonight. What an uplifting story especially now a days. You two were meant to meet that day, I truly believe that. I'd love to send a card as well. It breaks my heart to think of all the lonely people out there in this world. God bless your hubby while he is away

That is sooo sweet! I started to get tears in my eyes too!
I remember one day when I was a little girl, my mom and I were leaving a nursing home and there was an older lady sitting outside and she looked lonely. Since I was already in the car, I smiled and waved good-bye to her. Her whole face lit up, I knew I made her day.
I don't know if anyone has ever done this, but when I was in elementary school 1st-5th grade the school that I went to had the 4th graders adopt a grandparent in the local nursing home and we would go see them at least once a month during the school year. I looked forward to it because I got talk to someone, and they always had neat speakers for that day demonstrating stuff. I will never forget the donut demonstration and the machine they used to make jelly donuts. 
Anyone know how the Christmas went with new friend? Excited to find out.

luvincake you are a truly wonderful person. this is the first i have seen this post because i have been working so much for the holidays. i started reading and i just started to cry. i feel God has put you and your family in this woman's life for a reason. maybe SHE is YOUR angle. thanks for sharing this story.
