I will never knead another loaf!!!

I bought it months ago, I've just been too chicken to put it through the bread dough test. Well, for anyone who is hesitant like I was, it rocks!

That bread came out fantastic after just two minutes of kneading with the dough hook. No big mess in the kitchen, no sticky dough on my hands, just fantastic loaves of bread. I was able to make 3 loaves of cinnamon raisin bread in one batch (with the 6 qt. bowl).

So maybe I can't offer much in the way of cake decorating - I'm a learner at this point, not a teacher - but I wanted to share my newfound joy with everyone who has helped me so much!

Thats the original reason my mom bought me a kitchenaid to begin with . . . I love baking bread but I have really bad carpal tunnel so the bread hook was a huge relief.

What would we all do without our precious mixers? icon_lol.gif

I bake bread a LOT and can't believe that some people need bread machines...just get a KA! SO easy!

That is really great to know!

I admire you home made bread bakers. I love baking and decorating cakes but bread baking intimidates me!!

If you have any advice for a bread baking newbie, please share!!

My first KA lasted over 20 years and that was the main reason I bought it. I baked all our bread so it was a lifesaver! I did (I confess) enjoy taking it out of the bowl and doing a bit of kneading. Found it really relaxing at times, not to mention being somewhat therapeutic when necessary!

Oooh, I'll have to try it! My KA came with recipes, but I've only tried a couple of the cakes. I'll have to try bread!
