My daughter-in-law has told me that next year my granddaughters birthday party theme will be the 1950s so I'm looking for ideas on what design to make the cake for their major elaborate party. Can anyone help. All suggestions will be gratefully accepted.

If you look in my photos you will see a poodle skirt or you could do a juke box that would be nice.

Angela, Hi there. your cake looks great. How big was it? That would be something I could do.

Thanks,

I believe that I have seen a cake here somewhere (I'm not sure where) that was done like a 50s diner. That would be really cute too. You could put a red/white checked border around the cake and put some hamburgers/shakes, fries and stuff like that on it.

A jukebox was the first thing I thought of. Maybe little 45 rmp records around it! A boy and girl dancing the jitterbug with poodle skirt, bobby socks, pony tail. Boy in jeans and leather jacket with a DA hairdo.
I'm surprised your granddaughter would be interested in the 50s!
