Doing My First Stacked/doweled Cake - Any Words Of Wisdom?

This weekend I will be attempting my first three layer (oval shape) cake. What advice can you give me on things you have learned doing stacked cakes? Hoping this turns out as well as I imagine it will.

I use cardboard and wooden dowels. It has never steered me wrong. icon_lol.gif
