I just bought a bread machine on Friday, and I'm looking for really good recipes. Does anyone here have a favorite that they would like to share? Thanks!

This is our family favorite!

French Honey Bread

1 1/4 cup water
1 1/2 TBSP honey
1 1/2 TBSP olive oil
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp sugar
3 1/2 cups bread flour
2 1/2 tsp yeast

Excellent right out of the maker or toasted! YUMMY!

I'll tell you what I've had great success doing.....taking any ol' bread or dough recipe ( this is how I make pizza doughs, sweet breads, savory breads, cinnamon roll dough...etc.) and I tweek it for the bread machine!! I put all the liquids in first, then the flour and dry ingredients, then I make a small well in the flour and add the yeast.......I do use the fleischmann's yeast in the jar for bread machines and the flour (I think it's pillsbury) that says its great for bread machines......but I've had great success...never had a recipe that didn't turn out perfectly by doing it this way......and then I'm not limited to using JUST bread machine recipes.

Thanks! I think I'll try the honey bread next. I have tried two diferent recipes so far, but didn't have any bread flour, so I was using all purpose instead. I'm guessing that may be making the difference between the machine bread taste and the traditional way. I'll pick up some bread flour tomorrow at the store and give it a whirl. I have the jar yeast already. I'll have to try my regular white bread recipe next. Thanks!

I've used a lot of recipes from the fleishmann's yeast website, and they turn out great! They have a recipe section for bread machines.

I have used this roll recipe at the holidays, it frees my time while making other things!

They turn out great! I make a lot of doughs in my bread machine. I also buy my bread flour at Sam's Club,a 25lb bag for $5.00!
Have fun with your new "toy"!

Those rolls look yummy! Do you use your machine mostly for dough, or bake in it too? I'm not sure I like the bread baked in the machine. I haven't decided yet!

I find it hard to cut the loaves, they are big. I usually do the dough only and bake in loaf pans or make rolls.
Best Wishes,
