Flower Pricing Question.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but I was wondering if you all could give me some pricing ideas. This is the first such request I have gotten and have no idea how to price out Royal icing Mums. I got a request for 30 of them and not sure where to go with pricing. Any ideas. Thanks
Is this for a wedding cake, I am assuming?
It's going to depend on how large you make them, the small ones are pretty easy to whip out quickly. I just did several in buttercream and they have already air dried. I don't do royal unless I absolutely have to because I have to make sure everything is grease free.
Also, will you be dusting them? Take that into consideration.
I'm not sure if this is helpful but I charge .75 cents a piece for Royal icing flowers when they are going on a cake. Roses I charge $1.00 a piece. I do try and charge according to the degree of difficulty. I hope this was of some help.

I normally go by what the design of the cake is. If there is alot of other work involved in the cake, I may charge. But if there's not, I probably won't.
Mums take much longer than roses, so I would charge more than a rose.
You could look at it from this standpoint:
Say that you want to pay yourself $15/hr for labor.
It takes you 5 minutes per mum, that's 12 an hour. That would be $1.25 per flower.
Of course, I'm just throwing numbers out, and that doesn't include ingredients. You could bump it up to $1.50-$2.00.
Thanks all good advise. I am not doing a cake for this so I do have to just figure on flower pricing. In which case an hourly rate may be the way to go. I have to make them and ship them from CO to Australia so I dont know what the end product will be.
These ideas are very helpful and I can figure out something now thanks. I didnt know where to start.
