The recipe I'm trying to find has been called by all of the above names (depending on the number of layers of cake, I *think* the 7 layers is the most common).

This is a cake I remember from my childhood - at church suppers there would be at least one of these. I can't remember who made this, if I ever knew...I haven't even been to that church in a dozen years or more...

This is a cake made of many thin layers of a yellow cake with a chocolate icing that's almost like a cross between ganach and a glaze.

Anyone know what I'm trying to describe here?

Thanks!

Here's the recipe posted in the forums a while back. I'm still looking for the martha stewart one.

If the cake alanahodgson suggested isn't the one you are looking for, it might also be a version of a Dobos Torte or Dobos Cake. A little different, but it might be worth a search if you are still looking. icon_smile.gif
