Good morning all. Alright, I am going to try to make a vanilla caramel cake by flavoring the cake mix with vanilla caramel coffee creamer instead of water or milk. Does anyone have a suggestion on the filling and the frosting that I should use for this cake? I'm thinking some type of caramel filling but it can't need regrigeration. Any help would surely be appreciated. Thanks so much......

How about just using a flavored buttercream? Then it can sit out and you won't have to worry about it. Caramel or chocolate would be my first choice, always! icon_smile.gif

When I made a cake like this, I used regular buttercream icing for the filling but swirled caramel topping over it then just iced it in regular buttercream. It got rave reviews! Also, just to make sure, you know to only replace 1/4 cup of the water/milk with the creamer right? It gives it a strong enough flavor with just that much.
Good luck,
