Is it possible to make MMF that is not so sweet.

I just make a handbag cake for a 10year old girl. She 'suggested' that I should make it less sweet 'so that people eating it will not get toothache'. icon_mad.gif

So I am wondering, if it is possible to make a reduce sugar mmf without sacrificing on the the quality.

I would nix the flavoring in it and try to make a batch using about 2/3 of the bag of powdered sugar... just might do the trick. I know, I had the same problem with the stuff until people started getting used to it. Oh! Maybe switching to a less sweet icing undernieth might do it too. I used the regular BC icing and it was too sweet for me, but when I used the all butter with vanilla and a splash of milk with powdered sugar to taste, it was awsome.

Thanks Reenie but wouldn't using lesser icing sugar affect the texture of the mmf.

Yes, I think it's alot easier to work with with less sugar because it has way more strech to it and it doesn't crack either.
