Every year my MIL's family has a Holiday reunion. It is pot luck and there are about 110 people or so (new additions every year so i loose track) everyone brings either a hot dish or a desert. I of course am bringing a cake item./ Do I bring a big cake, cupcakes, CCC, or cake balls? It's this Sunday so not a lot of prep time and i blew up my mixer so i gotta do it all my hand. icon_cry.gif but i'm tough! lol So..what do yall think??

I find it MUCH easier to ice and decorate one cake than a bunch of cupcakes. Cakeballs are good, but cake - YUM! CCC - too much work.

I voted for a fancy cake. I see it is in the lead. But I was supprised at the tie with cupcakes and cake balls. That is a tough tie, I like them both. But my favorite is the fancy cake.

Let us know which one you decide on. I am curious now.......LOL!!!!!

All by HAND icon_eek.gif Cakeballs for sure because they'll taste great but will be more "forgiving" if you have any problems.

I would make cupcakes, because they're easy to do, and I can make a couple of kinds, and have something for everyone.

I did cupcakes for a large potluck last summer, and used RI decorated Teddy Grahams cookies on top. (It was a martial arts studio picnic, so most had martial arts uniforms, but some had bikinis or swim trunks.)

A single mix makes 24 cupcakes, so if you make two mixes, that's enough for almost half of the people at your potluck. I used to always make my cake mixes by hand, and never had any problems.
