Ok, so I originall thought two tiers, polka dots, fish on top, match the invitations. But now I'm thinking I want to somehow make it more...fishy! lol... I still want to get the polka dots from the invite in there. Any thoughts? Here is the invite... TIA!!!

I think you could make the cake look exactly like the invite. Do what you're planning with the tiers and polka dots, just add fish to both layers as well!

I'd scan the fish into a photo program. Then just do some color changing, stretching, etc.
Maybe brightly-colored eels as streamers from the top; word bubbles in the dots colors; seaweed coming up from the bottom...

I would use the globe pillars from Wilton and put fondant around them, like I did. It really looks nice. I got mine from the Wilton 2007 yearbook. You could match your fish closer to the invitation, though.

Amber - your cake is so cute. I didn't see it before I did mine though. I may have even been done with mine by then, but I"m not sure. Anyway, here's what I ended up doing if anyone is interested.

It's adorable! The ball border was a nice touch.

Thanks for letting us know what happened.
