Don't get me wrong, I'd love to look better in my clothes than what I do but the days of trying to look skinny and sexy, well, those days are long past. I just want to be healthy, feel good and be around for my great grandkids..............
Well the whole looking better in clothes is a good side benefit.
When I finally made the step to lose weight I was close to having to go into the next size up, which would had been 20.
I do want to be able to wear the current styles of clothes and look good in them. Though I know that losing weight doesn't mean that you can just go out and wear anything, but it does make shopping a little easier.
Of course I'll be 29 in Dec and I'm not married, so looking sexy in clothes isn't a bad thing to me. He He. ![]()
But in the end, cute clothes aside, I know the health benefits are worth alot more!
Pre-Diabetes is the stage where your blood glucose level is higher than normal but lower than "full blown" diabetic. There are a couple of different blood tests that the Dr can do to determine what your blood glucose level is. The one that the Dr does on me requires that I fast for 12 hours prior to drawing blood. The normal blood glucose level should be 100 or less, pre-diabetic is 101-126, anything above 126 is considered diabetic. If you take action when you find out that you are pre-diabetic, I'm told that if one can manage their blood glucose during this time then it can prolong and in some cases prevent your levels from going higher into the diabetic area. First thing is to lose weight if you are overweight and go on a diabetic diet and start an exercise routine.
