I have some fondant that I bought at a local cake store (not wilton). I have to color it red, but have heard that it is very difficult to get the deep color. Most of the comments I have read are for people who are making the fondant themselves, but I haven't seen anything about coloring pre-made fondant. Thanks!

well it will have to be kneaded in. I am not sure the best brand to use, maybe americolor. It likely will take a lot to get red. I probably would be easier to make mmf and mix it in with the melted mm's

I just colored the pettinice fondant red with the wilton Icying colors you get from Joanns, this past weekend. It worked good and didn't use too much color. You really have to mix/knead it well!
Good luck
