i dont think it thaws out nicely. but you could probably use it to bake with. indefinitely, i would say.
My fridge is so cold that if stuff gets pushed to the back it freezes...usually the sour cream gets it...LOLAnyways we eat it all the time once it thaws out again and we're still alive.
