I made Karen's Basic Sugar Cookie recipe and will be using Anontia74's Royal Icing recipe (that I made last week). Can I decorate this today for a Saturday party--or will they be stale?

I've done a week in advance and kept them well covered in a plastic container and they were fine.

You can also make, deorate and freeze them.
Put them in a freezer bag or tupperware container, freeze, take them out of freezer (don't open bag or container) and let them thaw out...They are fine.

I do alot of holiday cookies ahead of time--freeze them and then take them out as needed.
