why did I wait so long to try.... I was sure it was going to be hard to do... but I was wrong it was easy and a joy to use.... I used Toba Garrett recipe because I had no butter on hand.

And to make it even better my practice square cake turned out great.

I really feel I am ready to do my first fondant wedding cake. To bad the gumpaste flowers are not finished as planned... I will have to be up late doing petals so they have plenty of time to dry

Awesome! Toba's recipe is what I use and can't imagine using another fondant because it is so easy to make and the taste is outstanding compared to other fondants I have tried.

Good on you! I am going to have to give fondant a go.. I have been buying Fondex.. but if making it is easy I am going to have to give it a try. Congrats on the milestone! icon_biggrin.gif

Where can I find the Toba Garrett fondant?? I am curiuos, I did a search and couldnt find it...

I am so happy to hear you you had a good experience with doing the fondant on your first try. I would love to learn to do the fondant but I am scared I won't be able to do it, so I have not tried. I have bought the stuff to make it just can't find the courage to do it. But I am happy you did and you enjoyed it.
