This weekend I made two cakes. I was able to color my IMBC easily with the rose color but I had an awful time trying to get the IMBC to take on an orange color.....anyone have any idea why this happened???

TIA,

Chrissy

what kind of coloring did you use? I know my Wilton Orange always turns out a bright almost neon orange... my boss tried to make an orange frosting this weekend using liquid color and said she had to use too much and it ruined her recipe...

JavaJunkieChrissy I haven't colour my IMBC yet but I have a question for you that I've asked in the forum and no-one has answered. Does your IMBC crust? Do you use it for filling, crumb coating and icing?

I have found Americolor to be more consistant in colouring than Wilton. Orange to me is kind of like red. It's much harder to get dark, consisten colour.
