Toe Socks, Help

I need a toe sock cake for Friday. It needs to be a 3D, do any of you have any ideas, on how to go about this ? icon_cry.gif

I saw this one, but it isn't exactly what I had in mind. Need to do something diffrent with the foot maybe .

Any other ideas ?

A standing sock?? You could just build a custom board with a center post and stack the cakes. Carve the foot out and fondant??

moydear77 is right. sounds like you may need to have a center support with maybe a loaf cake on bottom to carve the foot out of and several small round cakes for the ankle/leg. And decorate with fondant stripes. Please post a pic when you're done. I'd love to see how it turns out.

If you're looking for stand-up socks, you might try this link. It is directions for 3D skates, all you would need to do is a little shaping to turn it into toe socks...

The skate picture is perfect, I think I might be able to figure it out now. I hadn't thought of using a soup can. Great idea, and thanks for the posts.
