I read something on a cake website a few years ago titled "The Cake Decorator's Creed". I have been looking for it for a while now but can't remember where I read it. It has to do with staying up until all hours of the night and stuff. Really well written. Please let me know if you come across it. Thanks!
Cake Decorators Creed
When I decorate a cake -
many times it is late at night.
I find an inner strength in creative work,
or is it play???
I see an expression of mood
and wanting in what I do.
My cake is a canvas,
the frosting bags and tips are the paint brushes.
I am my best and worst critic - I always see ways it could be better.
And think to myself, Thank you God, for giving me the gift to share with others.
Cake decorating.
