I'm wanting to make a square cake with another smaller square on top...I'm looking for pictures to see if this is what I want or if I should do rounds. Go easy on me because I'm new at this! haha. BUT....if you have a pic can you tell me how many of each pan you did. Do you typically make just one of each size?? I hope this all makes sense!! ha. Thanks!!!

Your imagination is your only limit here. Here is a link to square wedding cakes but there is plenty here for you to get an idea...

You can bake just one cake of each size and torte, or you can bake two and put a filling inbetween.
I have a couple of square cakes in my pictures. The pink baby shower cake was 10" bottom with 6" on top. My Leap froggie cake was 8" and 4" squares. Each cake is 2 layers. I am learning as I go, but I have a problem getting the corners on the square cakes straight. But the only way for us to learn is try it and practice. Give it a try!
I've done some square cakes....the stacked square cake in my photos was a 7" square with a loaf pan cut into a square on top of it. Of course, mine is lopsided because I measured the top before I glued it together with BC icing and I didn't check it after I added the BC. But, it was a REALLY easy cake to make!
