I have some buttercream dream that I made up a few weeks ago. It has been in the refrigerator. Can I add some extra milk and some cocoa to make it chocolate buttercream? Any idea how much cocoa? It is about a half batch of buttercream dream.

Thanks,

Tabitha

yes you can add cocoa into it after it has been made up. I would just start with a a few tablespoons and just stop when you get to the flavor and color you like. You probably will need to add a little extra liquid.

merissa Thank you for your response. I tried it and it worked great. Next time I will try and make it further in advance. I ended up with a lot of air bubbles in the buttercream. Thanks again!
