You take fondant and mix it with water and micro it till it gets soupy. You then put in a small bottle in fridge. This is what ron ben israel does.

In the wilton classes they had us use clear vanilla for fondant glue and for my gumpaste classes they tought us to use Tylose powder mixed with some water. The jar that I have has the directions on it as far as what ratio water to tylose to use.

Sprinkle a pinch of Tylose Powder over
3 Tablespoon water
Stir and let set overnight. Keep in a sealed jar in the refrigerator. Keeps about 6 months or maybe longer.

I just use small bits of fondant or gumpaste, cover them in a bit of lukewarm water and let it set for about an hour til it gets to the consistency of a good glue or rubber cement.
