This is too funny I had to share my story.

I posted a picture of a cake I made that turned out somewhat alright. It was my first topsy, and the very top layer crumbled and the cake sagged over night. Well, I must say that I'm glad I took the picture when I did because the top fell off the cake and went straight off the side of the table and onto the floor!!

After scraping the remains up I realized what I did wrong. I put the dowels in the base and then put the top layer (what was left) onto it. Stupid me, I didn't put the top onto a cake board! So the top was sinking into the base! DDUUHHH!! As we say: We learn from our mistakes.....and the cat got dessert early!

omg you poor thing and the cake looked so nice. I've done some pretty dumb things when baking as well lol like leave out an important ingredient or color my frosting the wrong color lol as you say live and learn.
