Friends of ours are moving away. I want to do a real wow cake for them before they go but I am out of ideas. Does anyone have any unique sayings that I could make a cake out of. I would like to do something carved possibly. (her husband calls me the crazy cake lady!....not sure if the cakes are crazy or the lady is! It depends on the day!) They really like my fish cake but am not sure how to incorporate "fishing" into going away.... any suggestions?
I once made a cake for someone who was moving to another province so I did a 1/2 sheet cake designed a road on top and bought a small car at each end of the road I put the flag of the province he was leaving to the province he was going to and on the road I wrote Nova Scotia (the new province) or Bust. Everyone simply loved the cake. If they are leaving by plane you can do a runway with a toy plane on it. Just an idea hope it helps some.
