I'm curious why is it "Black Friday" it's not Friday the 13th. Curiosity got the better of me and I had to ask. Hope this doesn't offend anyone.

Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving in America - the busiest shopping day of the year. It starts the holiday shopping season - typically when the stores are finally operating "in the black" (showing profits) in contrast to being "in the red" (in a deficit).
