Chocolate cake fillings: raspberry mousse, strawberry mousse, cookies n' cream, peanut butter cup, chocolate mousse with kalhua, coconut.

Yellow cake: ANYTHING!

Here's a website with a bunch of filling recipes. It might give you some ideas of flavor combos.

There are also recipes for icings, cakes etc. on this website. Welcome to CC! You're gonna love it here!

Do a search in the recipe section for White Almond Sour Cream Cake (you don't have to add the almond if that's not what you're into). Its an incredible white cake. You can also search for ganache. All of the recipes are rated, but be careful when looking at the ratings. If one person rated it a 5 star recipe, obviously that would be less reliable than if 150 people's ratings averaged 5 stars. It tells you at the bottom of the recipe how many people voted and what the average score is.

I love Toba Garrett's french vanilla buttercream. If you'd like the recipe, I'd be happy to share. Its a non crusting buttercream made by warming milk to dissolve granulated sugar. Its very good and not too sweet at all.
