There is of course piping stars or "fur" onto it, but is it possible to put MMF on it? I'm doing a Pooh bear cake, and would really like to get a smooth look... any ideas??

Thanks!

Some of the past Wilton yearbooks have instructions on how to use fondant in the character pans (they show the teddy). Check their website as it may be on there also.

I am so dumb I can't find where I saw this technique! icon_redface.gif Anyway, fondant pieces were cut and fit into the pan shapes where you wanted it, then I guess tapped out and put on the completed cake. Still looking for you all!

Cut and fit into the pan shapes.... of course! That makes excellent sense! Then you could add some fake stitching, or not, but you certainly wouldn't have to worry about stretching the MMF over everything. If you do find details on how to do this, let us know!

Thanks!

I still would like to know more about this. I'm planning on going to Hobby Lobby on Thursday and want to know as much as I can before purchasing the pan.

I tried asking this is another thread, but can anyone recommened a doctored cake mix recipe for this pan? Will the cake mix extender work or is it better to use the extra egg and pudding version of the cake mix?

Puzzlegut- Hobby Lobby has a 40% off on any one item coupon on their website right now. You can print it off there and it's good until the 2nd I think.
