I have read the posts on here about not being able to use eggs for kids with allergies... do you any of you have any tried and true recipes that HAVE worked. I have a customer that needs it for her sons birthday. Also does it decorate the same as a regular cake would and can I do the same flavors as I would be able to do other cakes? I don't think I should charge more for an allergy free cake should I if I am leaving out the eggs unless I am adding a more expensive ingredient... she asked me that and I try to be pretty honest and fair on pricing... so I thought I would see whatever what the general consensus on it is... the whole non egg cake and price thing is... TIA!

I have never tried an eggless recipe but have heard of "crazy cake" which has no eggs and i've heard it's good. Here's a recipe from CC:

I wouldn't charge any different than any other cake. IMO

I've made WASC cake with out eggs. It wasn't on purpose but I was completely shocked when it didn't have a problem rising and still had a wonderful taste.

Ok, I just wanted to say I did a taste of the crazy chocolate cake for this customer and her little boy... they loved it and I have to admit it is really good before the icing and even better when you slap buttercream on it icon_smile.gif So if you ever have a need for an eggless chocolate recipe, I would suggest the crazy chocolate cake on this site, it is pretty scrumptious... I only experiences a little sticking to my cc liners and pan, but it wasn't too bad... other than yummo, and they are ordering this cake for 2 weeks from now for his party and I have earned their egg free/dye free biz for life and have been suggested to all of their other friends at the daycare as well icon_smile.gif So again thanks CC for your wonderful storage bin of recipes and to the contributors of the crazy chocolate cake, going to rate it now!
