I'm doing a cake for someone next week. He video tapes the high school football games for the school and I thought I would do a cake around that idea. I thought about doing a football field, which doesn't sound too hard, but I'm not sure how to incorporate the video taping aspect, unless I just leave it out. Any suggestions?
You could even make the football field with a film strip going over the top with pics from the football game!
You can find a bakery near you and bring in what you want printed for an edible image and they will print for you, for a fee. I know one of the bakeries in my town does it for $10 but, you can bring in a page of photos and they will print them all how you printed them onto the page. Hope that makes sense!
I'm still having a heck of a time figuring out how I want to do this. One thought was to make a TV cake using 2 8x2" square cakes and cutting both of them in half and stacking them to create a 8x8x4" tower. Then I could probably make a little camcorder by molding rice krispie treats and covering it in modeling chocolate. And on the TV screen I could try to do a football scene by cutting pieces of colored MMF or modeling chocolate on the cake. I'm just worried that it won't turn out good.
