I've been using these refillable cartridges for a while and they are fantastic and only cost $26.00 plus $6.00 shipping.

I can not find any differences between the KopyKake and these...except the price icon_wink.gif I do not have to use the chip resetter after refilling...just pop them right back in icon_smile.gif

Just buy the refillable ink bottles from Kopykake and the following cartridges from this company and save money icon_biggrin.gif .

When I purchased my cartridges from Kopykake, I paid $70.00...ouch icon_cry.gif

Breakdown:

Refillable ink(bottles)...........$10.00 each.................$40.00
Refillable cartrideges/shipping(ebay).......................$31.00

Kopykake

Filled cartridges only(start-up)...................................$70.00

I also purchased a set of cartridges for my regular printer.

Do they come with regular ink in them? What printer model do you have? I emailed them to see if they have cartridges for the cx4200 so I'm waiting to hear back. Thanks for the info!

Hi tiggy2,

They come empty...brand new.

I have the Epson CX3810 for my edible images and the CX4800 for my regular printer.

The seller is very nice, quick to answer questions and a fast shipper.

Are the original epson cartridges purchased from kopykake refillable? I have the cx7800 and like you paid $70 for my first set. I was hoping I could just refill these cartridges.

Yes, you can refill the ones from Kopykakes about four times and then you have to purchase new ones.

The cartridges on ebay would be the best route for the ones who are buying for the first time. I replaced my cartridges so that I wouldn't have to use the resetter, plus you can refill them without removing from the printer...they automatically reset themselves.

tiggy,

I just did a search and it is compatible with the CX4200. Looks like the CX3810, 4800 and 4200 uses the same cartridges icon_razz.gif .

tiggy,

What was the item number that you ordered?

Becky,

I got both my printers off ebay. The CX3810 I got for $19.99 plus shipping of $20.00 brand new with warranty; the CX4800 I paid $9.99 plus shipping of $19.00 slightly used...both are wonderful thumbs_up.gif

Thanks Stephanie I'll have to keep looking.

As for the previously used ones... how would you clean it to make it food safe again?

Hi Becky,

Per Kopykake's rep., you use the regular ink and do a deep cleaning then print off something and you are ready to go. Since the Epson cartridges are spongeless and the ink goes into a well type container...no contamination. She also told me that they recommend purchasing a used one if you can't or don't want to put alot of money into a new one.

I took the new printer for my edible printer...didn't know at the time that I could have used the old one which does a better job printing icon_rolleyes.gif

Thanks for that additional info Stephanie! I'd love to be able to offer edible images since I've been asked to do one in January but have tried to get her away from that idea lol...

Hi MsMitchell,

Are you referring to the cartridges on eBay? If so, then yes, they can be used if you have an Epson Printer and it states that they are compatible with that printer model thumbs_up.gif .

Thanks Stephanie. As always on the ball with things like this! I just looked and searched for a Epson Stylus C88+ and the refillable cartridges did not pop up. I will try to call them tomorrow.

Thanks again Stephanie!

You might want to double check on that printer as a friend of mine just ordered cartridges for the same printer.
She sent them an email and they confirmed the cartridge she needed.

Stephanie

Can you tell me if I understand this correctly..

If I buy the cartridge from the ebay store for the Epson C88, and then order the edible ink refills from Kopykake... I will be all set.
I bought the printer months ago, but haven't bought the ink yet, as it was so expensive.

Thank you
Kim

Do they carry cart. for other printer manuf.? I have been reading reviews on epsons - some of the models listed and they talk about clogging and not working well with cart. that are not made specifically for them.

The ebay store carries cartridges that are directly from the manufacturer/Epson... so they are more then compatiable... they are basically cartridges that are made to then be shipped to the warehouse to be filled with ink... but instead this person gets a shipment before they get filled icon_wink.gif that's how he explained it to me..
