Ok so I'm trying to make cake balls and I microwaved my chocolate like it said on the package and it got half melted but just would not melt all the way.... So then I kept trying a little longer and then the white chocolate started turning orange!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It got hard and crumbly..... so then I tried to put it in a pot above a pot of hot water and that got no where even faster!!! Did I just use the wrong kind of white chocolate?!? I used Nestle Tollhouse premium white morsels... I'm supposed to have these for work tomorrow and I need help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You probably had the microwave on too high. It sounds to me like you burned the chocolate; that's why you got those brownish lumps.

Try setting the power on your microwave down and microwaving them a bit longer, they shouldn't be COMPLETELY melted after microwaving; the majority should to the point where you can stir them with each other and have them "finish" melting in the bowl.
