Hi all!

I am doing a wedding cake in November and the bride wants to use the Wilton fondant pre-made bow. She wants it colored to match the scrolls and ribbon on her cake. It is a wine color. I have never used this bow and it says you can color it but my question is how? I didn't see the directions yet and she says they read like you can dip it? Maybe paint on the color? Her color is dark and I'm wondering if this is a good idea. Has anyone ever colored the bow before?

Thanks everyone!

I've read about using 2-3 coats (for making a black one), and using an airbrush, or the BC Easy color decorating spray. HTH

You can also use petal dust mixed with vodka or lemon extract.
