I have made home made marshmallows several times and have eaten them before I have been able to do anything with them. This is a great idea, thanks!

my Spanish is rusty but this is my personal understanding of the instructions without dictionary as I'm on hold with cable company lol:
Ingredients:
25 grams or 2 1/2 tablespoons or 3 1/2 of (grenetina Duche-dunno what that is lol- still on hold on the phone grrr)
1/2 cup water
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup corn syrup
1/4 teaspoon salt
Water as necessary
2 teaspoons vanilla
pink food color as desired
icing sugar for dusting
1 beater/mixer
1 (refractorio-not sure what that is lol I'm still on the phone so I cant dictionary lol)
different shaped cutouts
(That answers that - the marshmallow mixture is probably rolled out and cut out like cookies- we shall read on and see LOL)

Directions:
1. Moisten the 'grenetina Duche' (depends what it is I guess lol in the water in a bowl and let sit for 30 minutes.
2. Heat in a pot on low heat, the sugar, the corn syrup, the salt and water only until they're all covered. Keep stirring (gist of it) until the sugar is dissolved and keep washing the sides of the pot so crystals form.
Let it boil until it reaches 105 C (with candy thermometer).
(sorry, i'm still on hold and apparently my patience is appreciated- 20 minutes later hmmm lol)
3. Bit at a time pour into the mixer bowl (that has the grenetina Duche sitting in it) the sugar mixture and mix it on low speed. Increase the speed and beat it until it is very thick and white and about triple the volume, about 15 minutes.

grrr 'your patience is appreciated, please remain on the line balblabla'
SIGH

ADd the vanilla and the food colour and mix a bit more.
4. Dust the 'refractario' with icing sugar (maybe that's a cutting board or counter? lol, put the mixture from the bowl on it, adding more icing sugar, knead with moistened hands and more sugar. Let sit overnight without covering.
Next day, put on the counter and cut with a knife in quarters or in shapes, dip in icing sugar and decorate as desired.

OK Im' still on hold to get these goons to fix my cable so I shall post this and reread it with dictionary in hand later when I get off the phone icon_smile.gif)

I believe "grenetina Duche" is a gel, perhaps unflavored gelatin? Can't find the translation.

sobre can be envelope, so envelopes of gelatin?

My Spanish is quite rusty, but your translation looks about how I read it. Flowergel, help please? Did she get it all right?

Here is a recipe in English for them:

In light of how popular cookie bouquets are these days, I thought I'd resurrect this old thread...icon_rolleyes.gif
