I am making cookies that are going to have small 1/2 inch flowers on them and I am making cupcakes that will have a 1-1/2 inch rose on top. My question is, should I make them out of fondant or gumpaste? Would gumpaste be too hard to bite into? Would the fondant be softer? thanks

MMF would be better...the gum paste will be to hard. Buttercream icing would be better, just make them on wax paper and freeze. Once they are frozen, quickly remove from the paper and place on cupcakes and cookies...I do it all the time with no problems icon_smile.gif .
