How Do I Transport A Frozen Butter Cream Transfer?

I have a butter cream transfer that is frozen and I have to take it an hour to the destination.Doesnt feel too firm. Some one suggested putting it on the cake because the cake would keep it cool and then just drive with th ac on.I really need this cake to look good.I need advice, any you have to offer is appreciated.
Can I ask why you wouldn't just put it on the cake and transport it decorated? Is there a specific reason you want to transport it separately?
I'm a little confused. Once it is on the cake, you don't need to keep it frozen or any colder than you would normally keep buttercream.
It feels like its soft and it might melt.I have no way of fitting my cake carrier in my cooler.Id love to have it fully decorated but I feel like the transfer will melt.
You should keep it frozen until you are ready to put it on your cake, then finish decorating then transfer it wherever you are going. It won't melt any more than any other buttercream on your cake would. If you have the whole cake in your car with the A/C on, you should be fine.
Just be sure to keep your cake shielded from any sun that comes in the windows - you'd be amazed how hot that can get. Sun + icing = NOT GOOD.
thanks so much,I guess I just expected it to be more firm like royal.
Hmmmm...when it comes out of your freezer, it should be very firm. Are you saying that when you take it out of the freezer, it isn't hard?
It does soften up very quickly so you need to take it out of the freezer and immediately put it on your cake. But if you are saying that it isn't firm after being frozen, then there is another issue going on. How long did you freeze it?
yes its firm when it comes out of the freezer it just softens very fast, sorry should of stated that better. Its been in the frezzer(when i take it out tommaorw) for 6 days,I wanted to play it safe.
