can anyone recommend a good lightweight vacuum? i want one for christmas (sad, i know) but i want it to be light enough to drag up and down stairs but strong enough to pick up everything from the carpet.
i have an infant that is almost to the point of crawling. 
Orack (sp) its supposed to be as light as 2 pounds but strong enought to pick up a bowling ball. My friend has one and they work great. And then there are the Kirbys that have a porshe transmition and are probably the best in the world but cost a handfull. I mean it they cost alot but have the best warranty and are really great. I love it. But we use a shop vac because its nice to have one that you dont have to keep dumping out and they are a great price so you can have one upstairs and one down stairs.
