I am going to be making a Christmas cake with Christmas trees and snow men out of fondant. What do you use to make it look like snow on the trees. All ideas will be appreciated. icon_smile.gif

You could sprinkle powdered sugar on the trees. =)

I saw a nice idea in a book the other day - they put royal icing on the trees and used white "jimmies" (or some people call them sprinkles). It looked really nice. Just something different.... icon_rolleyes.gif I suppose you could use BC icing instead of royal if your trees are going to be edible and don't want the "hard" royal icing.
I did some trees out of fondant on a Christmas cake I did and just piped some vine design on the trees. I've attached a picture of the cake but the picture is really small - you can see a larger picture of it in "my pix".
Good luck. Remember to post a picture of it. Happy Thanksgiving.

Whether you use royal icing or powdered sugar I would follow it with some crushed clear edible glitter to give it that sparkle of snow.

I have one in my photos. I sprinkled confectioners sugar on the tree, followed by edible glitter.
