Soooo, I live in a very humid area (lots of Lakes) not that far from shore...so I always use dehumidifiers to help dry out my house. Well, I was drying some gumpaste decorations today and they weren't drying, so I placed them in my bedroom w/ the dehumidifier on high and the door closed. Holy Cake the suckers are getting as hard as a rock. Thought I would share....

Yes! I recently figured this out too!! I woke up and the fondant on my cake wasn't dry like usual. I moved the dehumidifier to my kitchen and it dried in no time! Now when it's really hot I'll just have it going in the kitchen to keep the humidity down.
