ok, this is my first time using the sports ball pan. do you all dowel it to the board to keep it from rolling? i'm trying to crumb coat it and its a little unsteady.
its going to be a turkey (if all goes well icon_rolleyes.gif ) i'm thinking of attaching the turkey head to a dowel and sticking that in through the cake for stability. what do you all think?

TIA

I always put a dowel through the sports ball. You could cut a flat spot on the bottom too. I think the head on the dowel is a great idea!

Everytime I've read about using it, (the one time I used it - it was used as two halves), they say to trim a small portion off the bottom round so it sits steadily. icon_smile.gif Hope this helps.
