I have a cake I need to start working on for Friday, it is for a 16 year old boy, and he is into computers. It is not a big cake, so I thought maybe a FBCT, but I can not for the life of me find a coloring page or something to go by. Does anyone have any thoughts on what I can use?? I also have a cake for next weekend for a church Christmas play. The cake will be for about 200 people. The theme is Birthday of the King. They want a crown on the cake. Anybody out there made a crown for a cake. I have fondant and just ordered some gold luster dust. My thoughts were to make some present cakes and then on the main cake put the crown on the top.

As far as the crown, you can make one out of royal or candy melts. I made a mini one for a cupcake. You can tape your wax paper to a can (maybe a coffee can or big soup can), right over a crown template, and pipe right onto it.
Good luck!!

what if you carved the cake into the shape of a mouse? maybe cover it in off-white fondant, with a little fondant wire connected to it?

I think your idea for the crown/present cake sounds nice.

i just did an image search on google and found lots of clip art computers! You could blow the image up with a picture program or even microsoft works or word! There is always the lap top computer, i've seen many good laptop cakes here in the CC Galleries!

what kind of image were you looking for? I could try to help you search for some if you would like.

I did not think of clip art, I have been searching for coloring pages and could not find anything. The mouse idea is good also. I only charged her $30.00, so I think I will stick to a sheet cake with FBCT.
