I like to do cakes for bake sales and church festivals, but cannot find a source for the clear plastic covers with the black bases that most grocery stores use. I make 6 or 8" cakes and would like to find a source for them. Sams has a really cute little one with a higher dome, but it is for 5" cakes so it's too small. Does anyone know of a supplier who carries these?
Thanks for your help

In a real tight pinch, go to your local restaurant and ask them for a carry out container. I have found some great ones that can actually be washed and reused since they are so sturdy!

If you have a local party supply store they quite often have them. They would be by the cutlery and tableware items.

Since you live in the Minnesota area (Im not sure of where) but if you're in the Twin Cities area, search the phone book for Bakery Supplies or Paper Supplies. Most of these cater to bakeries for the essential selling items. I own a restaurant/bakery and we purchase the clear lids and black bottoms along with sheet cake boxes, boards, etc from a company called "Trio Supply Company" - they're located in Minneapolis. You might have to purchase in bulk, but if you use these items often, it will save you money because your buying at wholesale instead of the marked up prices at the party stores.
Hope that helps ya!

They carry the cake container and you can order by the piece.

Hi Val-
Have you ordered from BG Paper before? I just took a quick look and they have cupcake liners for a great price. Would probably last me a lifetime since I really only bake for fun. Just wondering what your experience was with them?

Thanks!

I have ordered and pick-up from them. They are 4 hours aways from me and about 10 minutes from my sisters. They are wonderful to work with. I called and placed an order to pick up and they said it would be ready in 15 min. The other times I have had supplies shipped they were here in 2 days.
