I am a cake decorator here in the UK and am thinking of returning to live in Canada (Nova Scotia). Can anybody give me any advice or assistance with respect to what the rules and regs are about running a cake decorating business from your home in Canada. I've tried to find some information on the internet but am finding it difficult to find information.

It would seem from reading some of the forums that some people running them from home don't seem to have to follow to many rules provided they aren't advertising. However I would want to advertise and attend some shows.

Any help will be very much appreciated

Here's a Canadian cake forum like CC ~ maybe they will have specific info for you there

Hi

Here's a link to get you started....
You could email them and ask them all the questions you may have.

www.gov.ns.ca/snsmr/business

I know it's different in every province. Here in BC you can't work out of your home.

Hope that helps.
Kim
